Organizing bet88 con for 4th P4G Summit set up

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has decided to establish an Organizing bet88 con for the 4th Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 (P4G) Summit, according to a report from the Government News.

The bet88 con shall be headed by Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son.

Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Minh Hang, Vice Chairman of the Government Office Nguyen Sy Hiep, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc shall act as deputy heads of the bet88 con.

The bet88 con shall be responsible for coordinating preparations for the summit scheduled to take place in April this year.

The bet88 con comprises the Secretariat and five sub-committees in charge of contents, logistics, security-healthcare, communication-culture, and reception.

Founded in 2017, bet88 con is a multi-stakeholder initiative that accelerates partnerships in the following countries: Denmark, Chile, Mexico, South Korea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Colombia, the Netherlands, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and South Africa.

bet88 con provides grant funding, enabling systems support through National Platforms, and technical assistance to partnerships with businesses working on climate mitigation and adaptation solutions in the areas of food, water and energy.

bet88 con is focusing on financially sustainable climate solutions in the following sub-sectors: (i) Climate-smart Agriculture, (ii) Food Loss and Waste, (iii) Water Resilience, (iv) Zero Emission Mobility, (v) Renewable Energy.

Urbanization, industrialization and intensive farming present significant challenges to Vietnam’s environment, leading the country to prioritize partnerships that advance sustainable agriculture and energy efficiency.
